Proud Haddock is a non profit theatre company founded by Jimmy Walters and James Ahearne in 2014.
To date, they have produced a total of 10 productions including John Osborne’s A Subject of Scandal and Concern starring Jamie Muscato, the revivals of Tony Harrison’s The Trackers of Oxyrhynchus and Square Rounds, Mrs Orwell starring Cressida Bonas; the UK premiere of Yeast Nation by Tony award winning writers Mark Kollmann and Greg Kotis; and Billy Bishop Goes To War by John Gray.
They are responsible for staging the first ever live performance at the Saatchi Gallery and in 2017, Artistic Director Jimmy Walters was selected as a potential nominee for the Forbes 30 under 30 award in the arts category.
Proud Haddock also run workshops on play commissioning and audition technique with literary managers and casting directors from theatres such as the Almeida Theatre, Bush Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Chichester Festival Theatre and more. They won the SME award for Best Online Workshops in 2022.
